Amy’s healing journey began when she sought natural treatment for her own health concerns with depression, fatigue, and digestive issues. She began learning about different healing modalities but found acupuncture and nutrition to be the most powerful and effective for healing her health. This led her to go to acupuncture school in 1999 at the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Through this education she knew she had found her calling. In 2005 she founded Olson Acupuncture Group in Stillwater and has enjoyed treating her patients since. As a lifelong learner she then went on to study Nutrition Response Testing™ to offer treatment that would allow her to give a highly individualized nutrition plan that would be specific to each person. Her knowledge of nutrition, body systems, and organs allow her to treat her patients’ WHOLE body. She holds a strong belief in food as medicine and is able to coach her patients to wellness with her kind and gentle guidance. Amy is the only Advanced Clinical Practitioner of Nutrition Response Testing™, in the St. Croix River Valley. Amy also holds a Master of Business Communications from the University of St. Thomas and a Health and Wellness Counseling Certificate from St. Catherine University. She lives in the valley and often bikes to work when she can. She loves to travel, cook, and spend time with family, friends, and her adorable cat, Crimicha.

Diane Tanning LAc Master of Science TCM, Nationally Board Certified NCCAOM, RN discovered Traditional Chinese medicine while taking CEU classes in alternative healing modalities in order to renew her RN license. Having been in medicine since her late teens, she discovered a healing modality that fascinated her in its ability to treat numerous health issues. She began studying for her Master of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine which includes Acupuncture, Herbal medicine, qigong and Tai Chi and Tui Na in 1999 and graduated in the first class of AAAOM in 2003. She has since worked at various clinics and has had her own private practice since then. Most recently she has worked the past nine years at Partners in Healing of Minnetonka with a renowned group of therapists and doctors. Diane specializes in treating fertility and gynecological issues, emotional issues such as anxiety and depression, working with pain of all types including headaches, back and joint pain, arthritic pain etc, and working with digestive issues. She has been providing facial rejuvenation utilizing various techniques since 2005 as another area of interest. Diane thoroughly enjoys her work and is grateful to be able to offer the help this ancient modality can provide; treating mind, body and spirit with respect, gratitude, kindness and compassion.

Melinda Van Eeckhout, Dipl. OM (NCCOAM) L.Ac. MSOM (2013) has been studying complex systems for her lifetime. In her first career as a CPA, her second career as restaurant owner, chef, and partner in her family’s organic farm, and in her current work in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Traditional Chinese Medicine is a pattern medicine, looking to find and interrupt the disruption in health. Melinda specializes in identifying the disruption in the body’s pattern and uses needles, herbs and other ancient modalities to stabilize and balance the system once again. Her true love may be the biome and how it affects this system. It is in the nature we procure and house in our bodies that protects us from illness. Melinda has seen patients in her private practice in Minneapolis since 2013. Outside of work, if her nose isn’t in a book, she loves kayaking on the Kinnickinnic River, foraging herbs and food, and making them into medicine, and COOKING!

Ingrid Bloom, LAc; MSOM; NCCAOM, RM became interested in Chinese medicine after having discovered its transformative healing effects first hand in her early adulthood. She completed her undergraduate studies in psychology and religious studies from the University of Minnesota and worked in the mental and chemical health field for many years. Feeling discouraged with the limitations of the biomedical model, and wanting to offer a more natural and comprehensive alternative to help people on their healing journey, she continued with her education and became certified in shiatsu massage, a Japanese form of bodywork based in Traditional Chinese medicine principles. In 2004 she completed her acupuncture and herbal medicine training at the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, in Roseville MN. In addition to Chinese medicine Ingrid is a Reiki master, using subtle energy techniques to aid in healing. Ingrid utilizes her broad knowledge base to enhance her acupuncture sessions, applying her skills and intuitive insights into each session in order to achieve lasting results. Ingrid loves being in natural surroundings, and in her spare time she can be found hiking, canoeing or meditating in nature. She also loves the arts and creativity and enjoys playing piano or painting the occasional watercolor.

Margie Schmid is a certified Holistic Nutrition Coach who loves helping people make simple, sustainable, holistic lifestyle changes that lead to a life full of energy, confidence and vitality. She believes that food is medicine, and simple changes in our nutrition and lifestyle can be empowering and life changing. Margie’s nutrition journey has evolved over several decades. She was a highly sensitive, overweight, asthmatic child who grew into a young woman who was always on quest for the perfect diet. After much soul searching and research, she discovered health and happiness through holistic nutrition. Margie was born and raised in Stillwater, Minnesota. After graduating from The University of Wisconsin River Falls with a BA in Elementary Education, she moved to Omaha, Nebraska where she enjoyed a 31-year career with the Omaha Public Schools. My name is Patricia Henning. I was born and raised in this beautiful town and I can’t imagine being anywhere else. I’ve worked in various customer service positions, but found a passion in alternative healthcare while working for my chiropractor. This also was my introduction to the Standard Process supplements along with learning the difference and importance of correct nutrition. What followed was the most important and fulfilling role of my life – being my parent’s caregiver. This enabled them to live out their remaining years in the home they so lovingly built and raised our family. Not knowing next where the path would lead me, it was through an amazing chain of connections that guided me to Amy’s acupuncture clinic. It is because of Amy’s caring, sensitive nature and holistic approach that brought me to work in this healing environment. It is truly a blessing.

Teal is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College, and with her sociology major, has worked in many different areas of her interests. These include marketing and media, the service industry, and sales. As her family began to grow, she became interested in holistic health and nutrition to help maintain hers and her family’s health. This led her to Olson Acupuncture Group, where she is now proud to assist in various areas which keep the clinic running smoothly. Teal lives in Stillwater with her husband and two children.
